Grateful for Colour!

This summer I decided to take Friday's off of work and try to spend time with the kids.  Of course, having teenagers, we didn't do too much, but at least I was home!

This is one of the first Friday's that I actually had time to do some stamping!  So I decided to play along with the Colour Me Card Challenge.

I haven't used Cucumber Crush too much so it was a great opportunity for me to play with that colour.

I decided to keep the stamping simple and use a die cut as the focal point.  I love the butterfly die cuts Stampin' Up! has in their annual catalog!  Very intricate details and so easy to just pop on a card and add a whole lot of texture and color.

I wound a little metallic silver thread behind the butterfly and added a few rhinestones just because.

It felt good to make a few cards today, maybe I was able to kick-off a little crafting energy for myself?!?  We shall see...
