I purchased the Visions of Santa Photopolymer Stamp Set from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. I didn't get to use this too much in December but the moose reminded me of being warm in the winter so I thought it would be a perfect element in a winter card! Plus, the stamp set had snowflakes! Perfect combination.
The greeting is from the Project Life Holiday Cheer Photopolymer Stamp Set also from the 2014 Holiday Catalog.
For the large snowflake, I was inspired by a video posted on the Stampin' Up! blog on making Faux Rusted Metal Embellishments by Allison Okamitsu, an Artisan Design Team member.
I loved this effect and decided to try making a snowflake with a galvanized steel effect, For this snowflake I used silver and black embossing powder with the metallic silver encore stamp pad.
It turned out to be a fun card! Makes me want to climb into some flannel and have a cup of hot chocolate!
