Bright and cheery

Inspired by the sunshine (and I won't lie, trying to keep with the color scheme in the new Gingham Garden Washi Tape from Stampin Up!), I made a card to celebrate a good friend.  Again, inspired by others, this time by Kimberley van Diepen, but using the brighter shades from gingham garden.  Here is my version of her card, enjoy!

Big Shot: Hexagon Embossing Folder

Off the Grid!

I am trying to stay "on the grid" by making more regular posts to my blog.  This is a card I designed for stamp camp this week.  I am so excited to be getting my regulars together again!  We haven't seen each other in 3 months and I can't wait to see what is going on with them!

This card was inspired by a card a saw on the Stampin' Up! blog.  Hope you enjoy!

Colors: Soft Sky, Island Indigo, Pistachio Pudding, Blushing Bride, Very Vanilla

Accessories: Soho Subway DSP, Hexagon punch (BUNDLE), Epic day washi tape, Pistachio pudding 3/8” ruffled stretch ribbon

Yellow and Gray, describing our summer so far!

As many have posted either in blogs or on facebook, this summer has been more gray than sunny and not too warm.  So I decided to make something that is more cheerful than our weather!  I mashed up the Mojo Monday 296 sketch challenge along with the Stampin' Celebration Celebration Challenge!

The end result was a cheerful card I would love to send to someone to brighten their day!

Stamp Set: Chalk Talk, Tape It, Mixed Bunch
Colors: Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray, Smoky Slate
Accessories: 2-1/2" circle punch, 1-3/8" circle punch, blossom punch, 3/4" circle punch, 7/8" scallop circle punch, 1/8" mini brad, Epic Day Designer Series Paper.

Betsy's Blossom card

I had to make a housewarming card for a colleague and decided to use Betsy's Blossom and the new In Colors.  The base and large flower are Crisp Cantaloupe, the leaves are Pistachio Pudding, the flowers are Strawberry Slush and Calypso Coral (returning color).  The bird is Pool Party (returning color).  The stamp set is (Bloomin' Marvalous) was a salebration stamp set from this past year.  I couldn't find a good "housewarming" greeting that I liked and since we are giving her some flowers, thought this would tie the gift with the card.

More graduation cards

Here are a few more graduation cards I made for family and friends.  The greeting is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set.  I tried to make them simple, but wanted to add a little texture so I embossed the cards with the houndstooth (purple) and lattice (green) embossing folders.  The black and white ribbon on the purple card is retired.

Really good retrosketches #66

Finally have time to play along with some of the sketches out there.  I tried a few different designs for the retrosketches #66, and decided to post this one.  I love this sketch!  Simple, trendy and versatile.  Hoping to be able to play more tomorrow when my new box of supplies arrives!!

Cards for Graduation Season

Graduation season calls for graduation cards.  I like to match the school colors if possible.  Here are 2 cards I made for some recent college graduates!  Wishing them luck as they prepare for college life!

I tried to follow the Mojo Monday sketch #295 for the green card.zMojo295Sketch.gif (727×442)

Now that school is out for the summer and family obligations are less time consuming, I am hoping to dust off the stamps and start creating once again.  I did spend some time organizing my supplies since the new Stampin Up catalog is out.  Took a while to sort out the colors and retired stamps!  Glad I was able to make room for new stuff!  Now, what to do with the old...
